The June 2019 proof run of top new heifers saw Calister Holsteins (Craig & Sharon Lister) and Dilee Holsteins (Les & Russ White) dominate the New Genomic Females list with six and five heifers respectively in the top 20.
In at number one is Calister Sandor Fleur 7102 (BPI 349) with Calister Pool Janea 7097-ET(BPI 346) just behind. Dilee Silverline Ollie 305-ET (BPI 331) and Dilee Jeronimo Ollie 277(BPI 328) take out the next two positions.
“Calister Sandor Fleur 7102 traces back to a Gold Crown with several good performing high BPI daughters and is in fact a different branch of the same cow family as the current top cow, Rengaw Manoman Janea-ET. We’re pretty excited to see where this different family branch will take us,” says Craig Lister.
“It’s great to see two of our Ollie heifers performing so well. This is a family that we have bred up from an original appendix cow of ours, and now represents something like 60% of our herd,” says Russ White.
