Sale top of $3200 was for the 4 year old cow Bluechip LL Aftershock Butter selling a/c Bruce Fuller to J Romano of Tatura. The same vendor also sold McLennan Park McCutchen Berkeley, VG 86 at $2500 to Allallam P/L of Carlisle River.
The Hicks Family of Strathallan sold a line of freshly calved AI bred Holstein cows to top at $2150 for 2 four year olds both selling to W & A Macadam of Merrigum..
The Banksia Vale herd of I & J Smith of Girgarre dispersed their herd after 54 years of dairying with the top of $2000 being reached twice, with Banksia Vale fever Blossom, VG selling to M Sorraghan of Dhurringile and Banksia Vale Vindicate Pattie selling to P Hogan of Waaia.
The Brown Swiss heifers of S Fisicaro and S Brown of Katunga met with strong demand selling to a high of $3000 for the freshly calved heifer Linderlan Nirvana Toska selling to T Smethurst of Athlone. Unjoined heifers sold to a top of $2400 for Linderlan Wizdom Sigrid selling to Loxby Brown Swiss of Laceby.
The same buyer also selected Sherbrooke Arrow Olga and Sherbrooke Hotel Opal both unjoined heifers at $2100 each. Another yearling to sell at $2100 was Sherbrooke Siren Iris 2 selling to T Smethurst of Athlone.
Top selling bull was Linderlan Nirvana Ori at $2500 to K Osborne of Jamberoo, NSW. Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services report the following details –
