Holstein Breeders from throughout Australia were keen to secure the extra well bred Holstein heifers offered at Echuca with a sale top of $9000 being paid for Eagle Ridge Lmyfire Polly.
This 2 year old was due to sexed King Doc and from an EX 90 Atwood dam with an EX 92 Shottle grand dam, she was purchased by Luccombe Holsteins of Finley, NSW.
Next top of the Eagle Ridge heifers was Lavanguard Tiffany, a daughter of the winning 5 year old from the 2019 Vic Winter Fair, she sold at $5,800 to S & M Portwine of Bamawn. Eliza View paid next top of $5,250 for Bradnick GSL Polka backed by several generations of VG 88 dams, $4,750 for Jacoby L Pollyanna, a daughter of a 539 kg fat dam and $4,000 for Ammo Colt Polka.
Return buyers to Eagle Ridge included Spunner Past. Co of Berrigan, NSW who selected McDougal B Legume from a 563 kg fat dam at $4,200 and Jacoby Anne at $4,000 from a 465 kg fat dam.
Other noted sales for the Eagles were Devour C Polka backed by 3 generations of high production Red cows at $4,000 to R Lindsay of Warwick, Qld and Bankroll A Polka from a 410 kg fat dam at $4,000 to Hillco Holsteins of Cudgewa.
Top selling lot from Ingoldale was the in milk heifer Emilio Elga backed by 7 gens of EX & VG dams selling to Murungi Park Holsteins at $6,000. R & R Robins of Cohuna paid $5,500 for Ingoldale Sweet Peaks, a beautiful uddered heifer backed by 3 EX dams.
Strong buyers through the sale Eloora Past. Co of NSW included in their selections Ingoldale Sweet June at $4,200 and Hughes Sweet Gemma backed by 7 EX & VG dams at $4,000.
Bruce Fuller sold a top young cow Newhope 1stclass Berkeley, VG backed by a deep Canadian family at $4,000 to A & C Coombes of Long Flat, NSW.
N & H Commadeur sold the tremendous milking heifer Madison Contender Ella at $4,000 to R & K Glover of Katandra.
Buyers came from all parts of Victoria, throughout Qld and NSW, many bidding online with Elite Livestock Auctions.
