PTIC Heifers saw a large adjustment from last week, selling between $1,300 and $2,140 this week to average $1,961, up $160 on last week.
The top price was achieved by a line of Charolais heifers weighing 472kgs hailing from Longwarry, VIC. Well done to vendors Martyn Neutze & Deborah Woodfine on a great result.
PTIC cows saw a reduced offering this week, however prices for the stock category held value, averaging $22 dearer than last week at $1790 with prices ranging between $1,700 and $1,950.
Hailing from Goulburn, NSW the top line of Angus cows offered by A/c ‘James Jeffery’ were aged 6-9 years and weigh 642kgs. The cows are of Reiland and Bannaby Bloodlines and are heading to Moss Vale, NSW.
Heifers weighing under 200kgs averaged 15c dearer this week at 486c with prices ranging from 378c to 571c.
From Port Fairy, Victoria a line of Angus/Hereford/Charolais weaner heifers aged 11-12 months achieved the top price at 571c. Offered by A/c ‘Aringa North Pastoral’ the heifers weigh 147kgs and will be travelling to Horsham, VIC.
Heifers weighing between 200-280kgs averaged 440c this week, up 7c from last week with prices ranging between 387c to 599c.
The top price returned 499c and consisted of 10-month-old Angus heifers from Scottsdale, TAS. Offered by A/c ‘Nichols Family Trust‘, the heifers weigh 257kgs and will be journeying to Marrawah, TAS.
Heifers weighing 280-330kgs remained firm this week, selling between 338c and 418c, dropping back 1c to average 418c. Returning 520c, the top line of heifers hailed from EDI, VIC and consisted of 11-12-month-old Angus weaner heifers weighing 281kgs. The heifers offered by A/c ‘Butchers Block’ will head to Benalla, VIC.
Heifers weighing between 330-400kgs also held firm on last week, slipping back 2c to average 420c with prices ranging from 331c to 461c.
From Rockley, NSW the top line of heifers returned 461c and weighed 366kgs. Offered by A/c ‘Dunns Plains’ the Angus heifers are of Rennylea bloodlines and will be travelling to a buyer in Monaro, NSW.
The big girls weighing in over 400kgs held their value this week, increasing 2c to average 385c with prices ranging from 349c to 423c.
From Cootamundra, NSW A/c ‘Sharman Advisory’ achieved the top price at 423c. The Angus heifers were of Rennylea and Hazeldean blood, weigh 413kgs and will be journeying to Moss Vale, NSW.
Steers weighing under 200kgs saw a large price adjustment this week, up 133c to average 673c with prices ranging from 564c to 695c.
The top line of Hereford steers hailed from Korumburra, VIC. Offered by A/c ‘Arunga North Pastoral’ the steers weigh 175kgs and are of Glentrevor bloodlines.
Steers weighing 200-280kgs sold 4c dearer this week, ranging between 387c to 599c to average 448c.
Hailing from Boggabri, NSW the top line consisting of Angus weaner steers weighing 221kgs will be heading interstate to Texas, QLD. Congratulations to vendors DC, AA, and CJ Jaeger on a great result.
Steers weighing between 280-330kgs averaged 446c this week, holding firm on last week to increase by 3c with prices ranging between 366c to 519c.
The top price went to a line of Angus steers from Bingara, NSW offered by A/c ‘Bargibal Pastoral Company’. The steers weigh 295kgs and will journey north to a buyer in Southern QLD.
Feeder steers weighing 330-400kgs saw a price reduction of 13c this week with prices ranging from 259c to 457c to average out at 420c. From Dalby, QLD the top line consisting of Angus steers weighing 347kgs returned 457c and was offered by A/c ‘McVeigh Ag’.
Steers weighing 400kgs+ returned an average of 386c this week, a decrease of 25c with prices ranging between 259c to 422c. A line of Angus yearling steers by A/c ‘Bellevue’ from Willatook, VIC weighing 422kgs achieved the top price.
Shooting across the Bass Strait to Tasmania this week a reduced offering of 104 head achieved a 100% clearance rate this week. Yearling and grown steers sold from 258c to 386c to average 322c.
The top line of steers were Friesian/Speckle Park yearling steers from Redpa, TAS which weigh 360kgs and will remain in TAS. Weaner heifers sold from 363c to 499c to average 431c. The top line of 10-month-old Angus heifers weighing 256kgs from Scottsdale, TAS.
