At the Combined Holstein Dispersal Sale held at Echuca, young cows sold to a top of $7,500 for a 12th gen. EX & VG 4 year old sired by Alta1stClass bred from the renowned Canadian Gen-I-Beq Goldwyn Secret maternal line.
She was sold by Bruce Fuller of Newhope Holsteins to A & M Robertson of Maxmount Holsteins of Poowong.
The same vendor also sold the correct uddered Newhope Solomon Butter, this 2nd lactation cow from the Paringa Butter line sold at $4,000 to A Wright of Gippsland.
Next top of $7,000 was paid by the Hill Valley herd of R & H Perrett for Sky View Solomon Melody, this huge, recently scored VG 88 heifer bred from the Fairvale Melody line sold a/c Tony & Kathy Hogan of Merrigum.
The same vendors also sold Sky View Mogul Elegance, a fine uddered heifer to S & J Railton of Echuca at $4,000.
Top selling heifer of the large Eagle Ridge line of Complete Dispersal Sale heifers was Eagle Ridge Jacoby FP Anna, backed by many gens of EX & VG dams
she displayed tremendous type and sold to R & J Gordon at $6,250.
Return buyers Eloora Past. Co of Deniliquin, NSW paid $5,750 for Eagle Ridge Jacoby A Tiffany due to sexed King Doc. Another return buyer, Spunner Past. Co selected Eagle Ridge Devries H Pauline, a daughter of a high yielding cow already owned by them at $4,500.
Another very correct heifer Eagle Ridge Bombero AS Polka sold at $4,200.
Top lot from the Griffacres line was Bluechip LL Lotus Butter, a lovely uddered young cow backed by 11 gens of EX & VG, she sold at $4,000 to K Cash of Tongala.
The top selling lot from Ingoldale was a Corvette from an EX, 2E dam from the Edie family selling at $3,200 to Benkaid P/L of Leitchville.
While top lot from Clydebank was Clydebank Unix Whynot backed by 9 gens of VG dams selling at $3,200 to R & J Gordon.
