Leading edge, high performance genetics at April Elite Wagyu sale

Wagyu-elite-saleThe 2022 April Elite Wagyu Sale is now open for Vendors to register Lots for the Sale, to be conducted on April 27 as part of a cocktail evening at the 2022 WagyuEdge Annual Conference.

The Sale will feature live Lots and genetics with multiple EBVs in the top 5% in each trait category (carcase, growth and maternal (gestation and milk)) and AWA Breed $Index values in the top 1% of Wagyu BREEDPLAN.

The Lots will include breeding females, joining sires, donors of semen and embryos. The number of Lots will be limited to 60 at the discretion of AWA. Vendors are able to select from GDL or Elders as agents for their lots

“The Australian Wagyu Association’s Elite Wagyu Sale continues to promote the leading edge of high performing Wagyu genetics to an international market that is seeking data driven genetics,” said Dr Matt McDonagh, CEO Australian Wagyu Association.

“The focus on elite genetics within the Sale ensures that the very best current genetics are provided to the Wagyu Sector to drive continuous improvement. We are looking forward to hosting the Sale as a co-agency format and new cocktail evening environment at the 2022 WagyuEdge conference in Melbourne”.

The auction will be conducted by GDL and Elders and hosted by Elite Livestock Auctions under the ALPA Livestock Auction Terms and Conditions of Sale with promotional support from the AWA. Many of the genetics on offer may be exported, buyers must take due diligence to ensure with the vendor that protocols are observed. Buyers need to be registered with GDL or Elders prior to the Sale in order to bid.
