The two Master Breeder herds Warramont of David and Trudy Fiebig of Mt Gambier, SA and Byrne Lea of Craig and Fiona Fisher formerly of Drumborg in far Western Victoria combined to stage a Complete Dispersal Sale of their Autumn calving heifers following the Dispersal of their respective Milking herds last year.
Sale top of $5,000 was paid for Warramont MVP Draft, she sold due to sexed Altaglow and is from a VG 87 Wyman dam with 433 kgs fat, she sold to Threadgold & Pearce of Parana, SA.
The same buyer also selected Byrne Lea Moat Phyllis from a 468 kg fat dam bred down from the Ourway Phyllis family at $4,000.
Second high at $4,800 was Byrne Lea Heidrick Gretchen, a classy heifer bred down from former IDW Grand Champion Jervois Inspiration Gretchen, EX, she sold to P & S Daniel of Nathalia.
Strong return buyers to Warramont were J & J Hibberson of Katunga, included in their selections were Warramont Contender Francis backed by 6 gens of EX & VG dams at $4,750, Warramont Frodo Daybreak 30 backed by 12 gens of EX & VG, Warramont Wrigley Flora from an 11,217 litre dam, Warramont Licorice Dana backed by several gens of 100,000 litre lifetime cows and Warramont Viewpoint Éclair bred from a 2nd gen EX dam each at $4,000.
Nathan Stevens of Simpson selected Warramont Viewpoint Frangipanni at $4,750 and Warramont Jacot Redfire-Red at $4,250.
Allallam P/L of Wakool, NSW selected several lots including Byrne Lea Bradnick Gretchen at $4,300 and Warramont Deltagamma Mae at $4,000
