On the heels of the 50th year Reiland Angus female sale held at Killimicat Station in February 2022, a catalogue of elite joined females with calves will be offered online on December 8.
The selected females represent a cross section of medium and younger aged, registered females with proven bloodlines and progressive BREEDPLAN estimated breeding values.
The majority of the offering are autumn calving cows that are being sold with a big autumn calf at side and re-joined.
Reiland Angus co-principal Mark Lucas said agents inspecting the females had praised the group on uniformity in type, soundness of legs, feet, udder feet and teats.
“The autumn calves at side weigh 280-400kg with a majority sired by the exciting new sire in Trafalgar Pheonix R44. These represent his first drop and will certainly impress any cattleman,” Mr Lucas said.
“A line of 10 pregnancy-tested-in-calf autumn calving heifers is all for competition and strongly based on the unique and productive bloodlines the Reiland herd is based.
“Several females being offered lie in the top 5 per cent $A index, excel in marbling and are joined to enhance such traits. A full catalogue is available for your perusal and relevant homework.”
Mr Lucas said the AuctionsPlus online sale and extensive catalogue allowed clients full visual interpretation, and ample time to critique bloodlines and mating outcomes.
“The Lucas family were delighted from the extremely positive feedback from clients who purchased at the previous ‘’Raise the Bar” sale with many recouping their outlay within 12 months,” he said.
“The females being offered are exemplary in temperament, structure and mating outcomes, however if it is possible, arrange a physical inspection through contact with Reiland Angus or Nutrien Ag Solutions or Elders agent.”
The cattle are available for inspection on Friday, November 24 from 3pm, Friday December 1 from 10am-2pm, and on Friday, December 8 from 9am.
