Mixed but good rainfall averages across a large part of the country have injected a strong start to all markets as January sales kick off.
All sales last week have been very strong, dropped into Dubbo on Thursday where 2,900hd were yarded, most cattle presented well attracting good demand. Tamworth store sale update yesterday from an agent mate said the sale was crazy, with buyers from surrounding districts, Western NSW and up to Taroom in QLD.
With a hotter forecast due for this week some saleyard numbers may be held back until the following week. It’s a big turnaround from the depressed market of last year. It never ceases to amaze how quickly market fortunes can turn around.
The EYCI is currently sitting around the 616c mark, while the Aus dollar is sitting just under US 66c.
