Ten Australian Limousin Bulls are in quarantine awaiting shipment to China.
Hui Hui Chong of Austrex says, ‘working with Limousin farm owners across Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria has been an absolute pleasure. Everyone has been highly collaborative and professional’.
The Chinese clients driving the import of Australian Limousin Genetics include several of the top Artificial Insemination (AI) stations in central western China – all of which are ranked in the country’s top 10.
The AI stations to receive the bulls are repeat clients, already owningAustralian Limousin bulls with only praise for their performance.
One of the AI stations to receive part of the shipment reports that Australian Limousin bulls imported some 10 years ago remain core to their operations today in improving growth and fertility of their domestic females.
AI is widely adopted in China, particularly in the central region, utilised to improve the quality and meet ever increasing demand for quality beef.
The Chinese Government is proactive in their encouragement and support of the use of AI to enhance Chinese beef production.
There is a drive within the Chinese beef industry to improve genetics to support efficiency and respond to rising beef consumption.
Chinese clients have expressed tremendous confidence in Australian Limousin bulls for both their genetic merit and their hardiness.
In all, this recent shipment contained two bulls from WA, four from South Australia and four from Victoria.
