The management committee for the Herefords Australia Wodonga National Show and Sale have decided the event will proceed albeit in a completely different format for 2020.

Cow and calf units totalled over 1,100 head offered this week and clearance remained strong at 72%. Prices ranged from $1,000 to $3,250, averaging $2,214 easing $183 on last week’s average.
Last week, national cattle yardings totalled 54,046 head, 26% below year-ago levels. New South Wales led the decline, easing 54% year-on-year to 15,971 head, while Queensland declined 26% to 18,606 head.
Over 1,300 PTIC heifers were offered last week, seeing a 76% clearance and prices ranged from $1,310 to $2,350, averaging $1,923, up $188 on AuctionsPlus.
For buyers it was a case of throw away the calculator and for vendors just enjoy the ride as prices pushed into unchartered territory for whiteface weaners of 650c/kg at the Benambra Calf Sale.
