Two Hereford cross vealer producers have been named in the Meat & Livestock Australia’s Top 100 Producers in Western Australia. Bruce and Daphne Marsh, and Ian and Tanya Guthridge, were named in the Top 100 for 2014/2015 from 1500 producers statewide for consistent carcase quality.

Injemira curve bending bull sets sale ring alight at $110,000

A polled sire has sold for $110,000 at one of Australia’s biggest whiteface sales, Injemira Beef Genetics, in southern NSW this week. Injemira Anzac K220, an 18-month-old son of influential sire Allendale Anzac E114 (P), was secured in a bidding war with South Australia stud Minlacowie by Brian Burgess, Holbrook, for his Ravensdale Poll Hereford stud.

New breed record puts Herefords on radar in Western Australia

Western Australian Hereford stud Yallaroo has smashed the national breed sale average record by almost $2000 this week. Rob and Heather Francis cleared their six bulls to a top of $17,500 and a thumping average of $11,500 at the Farm Weekly WA Supreme Bull Sale at Brunswick on February 18.
